Voice tracking isn't picking up my voice

Check, in order:

• Permissions. Settings app → Teleprompter IQ → make sure both Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed.
• Language. On-device speech recognition isn't available for every language on every device. If yours isn't supported, the app will tell you when you try to start Voice Tracking — switch to Placeholder Autoscroll instead.
• Mic distance and noise. Voice tracking works best with a single speaker close to the microphone. A noisy room or a second person talking nearby can cause false pauses.
• Tracking Sensitivity. In Settings, try a more forgiving setting if it's pausing too easily, or stricter if it's drifting from the script.

It paused and didn't resume where I expected

Voice tracking is tuned to get back in sync with you quickly, even if that occasionally means resuming a line or two off from exactly where you'd expect — that's a deliberate tradeoff, not a bug. You can always override it: tap the on-screen pause/play button, or your configured remote button, to take manual control at any time.

How do I set up a remote/clicker?

Settings → Remote Control → Change, then press the button on your Bluetooth clicker or keyboard you want to use. The default is Space. The on-screen button in Presenting mode always works too, with no setup required.

What can I import?

Word documents (.docx), plain text, RTF, and CSV batches (one script per row: Title, Script Body). To bring in a Google Doc, export or share it as a .docx or plain text file first, then import that file — Teleprompter IQ doesn't yet support importing directly from the Google Docs share sheet.

What is mirror flip for?

Settings → Presenting → Mirror Flip. It horizontally flips the script for use with a physical teleprompter rig that reads the screen through beam-splitter glass. It only flips the text, never the on-screen controls.

Do my scripts sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Yes, if iCloud sync is enabled — your scripts are stored in your own private iCloud account, the same way iCloud Drive or Photos works. Nothing is sent to us.

I got a new device. Do my scripts come with me?

With iCloud sync on, yes — sign in with the same Apple Account and your scripts appear. Without it, scripts stay local to the device they were created on.

I paid but the app is asking me to buy it again

Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to purchase, then re-download the app — Apple remembers your purchase and won't charge you twice. If that doesn't resolve it, email us.

Is my information private?

Yes. There's no account, no server, and your voice is processed entirely on your device and never recorded or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete everything?

Delete any script from within the app at any time, or delete the app itself to remove everything from the device permanently.
