Teleprompter IQ is a reading aid. Voice tracking depends on speech clarity, background noise, and your device's microphone, and it will not catch every deviation perfectly — by design, it favors getting back in sync with you quickly over never pausing at the wrong moment. For any reading where perfect timing is critical, always rehearse with the app beforehand.
These Terms govern your use of the Teleprompter IQ iOS application, published by OnBaseIQ LLC (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. The app is also licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these Terms.
Teleprompter IQ displays a script you write or import and scrolls it as you read, either at a fixed speed or, using on-device speech recognition, by following your voice — pausing when your speech no longer matches the script and resuming when it does again.
Voice tracking is an aid, not a guarantee. It can be affected by background noise, multiple people talking near the microphone, accents or speech patterns the recognizer handles less well, and the inherent short delay in any speech recognition system. The app cannot distinguish "the reader went off-script" from "someone else nearby is talking" — both look the same to it. Tracking sensitivity can be tuned in Settings, but no setting eliminates these limitations. Teleprompter IQ is not a substitute for rehearsal, especially for time-critical or high-stakes reading.
Voice tracking requires on-device speech recognition, which is not available for every language on every device. Where it is unavailable, the app will tell you rather than silently degrading — the fixed-speed autoscroll mode remains available regardless of language.
Any script, text, or document you write, paste, or import into Teleprompter IQ is yours. We never see it, store it on our servers, or have any access to it — see our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you import, including documents written by someone else.
Teleprompter IQ is a one-time purchase of $49.99 with no subscription and no in-app purchases. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, processed entirely by Apple. Purchases are handled by Apple; refunds are administered by Apple under its own policies at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the app, circumvent its purchase requirement, or use it in any unlawful way.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnBaseIQ LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any outcome of a presentation, broadcast, or reading arising from your use of the app — including a missed pause, a false pause, or a tracking error. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
